Hi! My name is Lauren.
I'm a Nutritional Therapist, Women's Wellness retreat Co-founder, Accountant and most importantly your ally in helping you manage your endometriosis because I've been there... and I know what its like.
I was diagnosed with endometriosis at the age of 26 having been told I had I.B.S for years. It didn't matter what I ate or didn't eat I still had an upset bloated tummy most of the time and I felt destined to live my life being ruled by what I could and couldn't eat.
I developed a cyst which required operating on and was subsequently diagnosed with endometriosis having had no idea previously what it was, let alone that I had it.
I distinctly remember coming around from the operation and being told that I had endometriosis, to go on the Pill as a means of managing it and if I didn't get pregnant (once I started trying to conceive) to come back to them after a year.
This is a story I hear all to often....and to me this didn't seem like a solution.
I wanted answers... not a lot of worry and stress wondering about what was going on in my body.
To me that is one of the scariest things about endometriosis. For women who suffer from it on a day to day basis we have no real idea how the disease is progressing.
I decided to take my health into my own hands and began a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy in 2014.
Nearly 4 years later I have gained a huge amount of knowledge both in and out of the classroom about nutrition in general but also specifically about how to help women manage their own endometriosis symptoms.
I believe in the power of dietary, lifestyle and mindset change to help manage your endometriosis symptoms and I want to work with women who are MOTIVATED and believe in the power they have to manage their symptoms.
I believe in your ability to make positive changes to actively manage YOUR endometriosis symptoms.
